CALL TO ORDER
Co-chairperson Scott called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.
1. ORIENTATION
Opening remarks directed the new group to the process of Council which resulted in the
development of the Economic Development Task Force. There was a brief explanation
of tentative plans for future meetings with presentations from Sarnia Lambton Economic
Partnership, Tourism Sarnia Lambton and Sarnia Lambton Business Development
Corporation. Co-chairperson Scott commented that respect, wisdom, caring and
integrity would be the basis the task force.
1.1 Introductions
Co-chairperson Underwood outlined the purpose of the task force stating that the task
force would be gathering data and forming a direction to develop a report and
recommendations to council in regards to economic development in the Municipality of
Lambton Shores. The committee was encouraged to consider the all economic sectors
such as; agriculture, commerce, industry and tourism to name a few.
