RECOMMENDATION:

REPORT
At the last Council meeting, the following motion regarding the obtaining quotes for “
team building” was passed:
12-0612-03 Moved by: Councillor Russell
Seconded by: Councillor Scott
That both Nigel Bellchamber and George Cuff be asked to submit a
proposal on conducting a team building session with terms of
reference for the Municipality of Lambton Shores Council.

Attached is a copy of the terms of reference for the recently completed County of
Huron’s review of “governance and management interface and leadership practices”
recently undertaken by Mr. George Cuff, and it is envisioned that a similar format for the
Lambton Shores study could be used for obtaining proposals. (A copy of the executive
summary of the County of Huron is available on request.)
The Council discussion on team building was covered in several of the local papers,
and as a result, 2 unsolicited offers to provide similar services have been received, both
of which are attached for your review and consideration.
It would be appreciated if a discussion could be held on whether or not Council is
interested in expanding the call for “requests for proposals”
