8.4 D.C.S. Report No. 42-2012 – Re: Goosemarsh Municipal Drain 2012 – Final
Reading of By-law and Awarding of Tender
The results of the tender for improvements to the Goosemarsh Drain to address
deficiencies in the drain depth and to provide additional protection from flooding were
detailed in D.C.S. Report No. 42-2012.
The Director of Community Services Brent Kittmer advised that the original pre-tender
budget for this construction was $219,000.00 however it has been reduced by $22,930.
as the project engineer has deleted the low flow pipe for Klondyke Road. He advised
that this was deleted to provide time for a review and determination of the appropriate
construction method and when this work does occur, the costs will be borne by the
Municipality through a special assessment.
