2. Undertaking Oceanographic Survey to determine <strong>and</strong> document <strong>the</strong> condition <strong>and</strong><br />

characteristics <strong>of</strong> coastal resources. This will include:<br />

- Bathymetric Survey from <strong>the</strong> nearshore to 30 metres water depths for <strong>the</strong> relevant towns.<br />

- Topographic survey <strong>of</strong> selected towns as follows <strong>and</strong><br />

- S<strong>and</strong> sampling to determine erosion potential<br />

3. Identification <strong>and</strong> mapping <strong>of</strong> national resources/infrastructure/facilities including<br />

i. Emergency Shelters<br />

ii. Police stations; Hospitals (beds); Fire stations <strong>and</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r Critical Facilities<br />

iii. Bridges <strong>and</strong> Coastal roads<br />

iv. Properties <strong>and</strong> populations at risk<br />

4. Site specific storm surge analysis to determine storm surge levels for 10, 25, 50 <strong>and</strong> 100 Year<br />

Return Period; <strong>and</strong> Category 4 <strong>and</strong> 5 hurricanes on worst-case track<br />

5. Preparation <strong>of</strong> Hazard vulnerability maps in GIS format <strong>and</strong> report for all major coastal<br />

towns<br />
