• Village of Romeoville Community Development Department – The property is zoned
as D-D, Downtown District. Building department records were available from the mid-
1980s until 2008 and contained permits for remodeling, signs, plumbing, and electrical.
The building department records indicate various retail tenants were historically located at
the site, including a barber shop, laundromat, pharmacy, grocery store, various
restaurants, and clothing shops. The permit records for 5 Terrace Drive were not readily
available from the Village of Romeoville. Mr. Prassas, Jr. indicated this address was
formerly a video store. The space was recently remodeled for the intended use as a
Mexican restaurant. However, the remodeling was never completed nor was the space
occupied by the Mexican restaurant.
• Village of Romeoville Fire Department – No fire department records were available for
the site addresses within the shopping center; however, records of nearby addresses were
provided.
for the site.
