6.0 SITE RECONNAISSANCE AND INTERVIEWS<br />

Ms. Heidi Radke of V3 conducted a visual evaluation of the subject property on January 8,<br />

2008. Ms. Margie Lathrop conducted an additional inspection of 5 Terrace Lane <strong>and</strong> 7<br />

Terrace Lane on January 15, 2008. The purpose of the field inspections was to observe the<br />

<strong>site</strong> for conditions that imply potential environmental impact. Such conditions might include<br />

signs of stressed vegetation, stained soil, uncontrolled dumping, the presence of underground<br />

storage tanks, or indications of a release of hazardous wastes <strong>and</strong>/or regulated substance(s).<br />

The field inspections included observations of adjoining properties from the <strong>site</strong> or surrounding<br />

roads. Ms. Radke were accompanied by Mr. Phil Prassas, Jr. from Prassas Company. Ms.<br />

Lathrop was accompanied by Ms. Diane Brzozowski, the owner of the laundromat.<br />

Photographic documentation of V3’s field inspection is provided in Appendix II.<br />

During the <strong>site</strong> visit, V3 conducted interviews with various individuals with specific knowledge<br />

of the property <strong>and</strong> its history. These individuals are identified in Section 6.13, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

information obtained during this process is incorporated into Sections 6.2 through 6.12.<br />

Interview notes <strong>and</strong> phone logs are provided in Appendix VII.<br />

6.1 Limiting Conditions Regarding Methodology<br />

No limiting conditions were encountered relative to the performance of <strong>site</strong> reconnaissance<br />

activities.<br />
