Runout. Runout is a measure of<br />

rotational accuracy expressed by<br />

Total Indicator Reading (T.I.R.). Total<br />

displacement is measured by an<br />

instrument sensing against a moving<br />

surface, or moved with respect<br />

to a fixed surface. A radial runout<br />

measurement includes both roundness<br />

errors and the centering error of the<br />

surface that the instrument head<br />

senses against.<br />
