Unit 302 Interview preparation and performance Level: Entry 3 Credit value: 2 Unit aim The aim of this unit is to enable the learner to develop the knowledge and skills to take part in an interview through practical learning and application. The skills developed by the learner will include travelling to the interview, taking part in a mock and a real interview. The knowledge acquired by the learner will enable them to describe their skills in an interview situation, understand how to present themselves during an interview and assist them to review what went well and what did not go well in the interview. Learning outcomes There are five learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to: 1. Prepare for a mock interview 2. Take part in a mock interview, captured in the most appropriate way for the learner 3. Review the mock interview 4. Prepare for a real interview 5. Attend a real interview Guided learning hours It is recommended that 20 hours should be allocated for this unit. This may be on a full-time or parttime basis. Assessment and grading This unit will be assessed by: • Assessor observation • Recording of the interview(audio/visual/detailed notes) • Witness statements • Oral questioning by the assessor 20 Entry Level 3 Certificate in Personal Progression through Employment (3803-03)

State how they will travel to the interview 3. Indicate what skills and interests you have that meet the job description for the post being interviewed for 4. Prepare some questions for the interview 5. Plan how you will present yourself during the interview and explain why you would present yourself in this way.
