Unit 303 My role at work Level: Entry 3 Credit value: 3 Unit aim The aim of this unit is to enable learners to develop the skills and knowledge they need to carry out their new job role. They will develop skills in the workplace to complete tasks and to follow health and safety guidance in a practical setting. They will understand why they are asked to follow workplace rules and how to deal with problems at work. Learning outcomes There are five learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to: 1. Present themselves in an acceptable way for the type of work that they are doing (this may include wearing protective clothing) 2. Follow basic hygiene rules 3. Follow health and safety instructions in the workplace 4. Manage time to follow the routine patterns of the workplace 5. Follow instructions from the supervisor to complete tasks to the required standard Guided learning hours It is recommended that 30 hours should be allocated for this unit. This may be on a full-time or parttime basis. Assessment and grading This unit will be assessed by: • Assessor observation • Oral questioning by the assessor • Employer feedback/witness statement 28 Entry Level 3 Certificate in Personal Progression through Employment (3803-03)

Wear the appropriate clothes, shoes for their role and protective clothing when asked to 2. Explain why they have presented themselves in this way, including protective clothing if applicable 3.
