Unit 305 Maintain a work placement Level: Entry 3 Credit value: 7 Unit aim The aim of this unit is to enable learners to maintain the skills and knowledge they need to carry out their new job role. They will consistently demonstrate skills in the workplace to complete tasks and to follow health and safety guidance in a practical setting. They will consistently demonstrate that they follow workplace rules and deal with problems at work according to the employer’s procedures. Learning outcomes There are four learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to: 1. Travel to and from work with a minimum of supervision over an agreed period of time 2. Demonstrate that they can maintain safe working practises in the workplace over an agreed period of time 3. Demonstrate good time management skills over an agreed period of time 4. Maintain skills at work to the required standard over an agreed period of time Guided learning hours It is recommended that 70 hours should be allocated for this unit. This may be on a full-time or parttime basis. Assessment and grading This unit will be assessed by: • Assessor observation • Oral questioning by the assessor • Employer feedback/witness statements 38 Entry Level 3 Certificate in Personal Progression through Employment (3803-03)
Unit 305 Outcome 1 Maintain a work placement Travel to and from work with a minimum of supervision over an agreed period of time Assessment Criteria The learner can: 1. State how they get to work and what time they leave home 2. Explain how they would deal with a problem when they are travelling to and from work and state an alternative way in getting to work if needed 3.
