Unit 310 Individual rights and responsibilities
Notes for guidance
In using this unit it is recommended that learners primarily focus on their work based rights eg
minimum wage, breaks, holiday entitlement, welfare facilities etc and they should describe this
right. They should identify where support can be gained and what that support might entail. Places
in which they could obtain support include the Citizens Advice Bureau, human resources, their
supervisor or their assessor. Learners can be supported to search for appropriate support.
Responsibilities they have for themselves and to others would concern health and safety,
expectations of them as an employee, being punctual, being honest, and being respectful, following
workplace procedures.
