DetailedMeasurement Methodology Cost of Care Reduction
PDPPM Costs for the Baseline Period and the Guarantee Period will be calculated After adjusting
the Baseline Period PDPPM Costs for inflation calculated by applying the Connecticut General
determined trend ofPDPPM claims for all ofConnecticut General s customers
an annual reduction
percentage will be calculated by taking the difference between the Guarantee Period PDPPM Costs
and the inflation adjusted BaselinePeriod PDPPM Costs and then expressing that difference as a
percentage of the inflation adjusted Baseline Period PDPPM Costs For purposes ofthis calculation
only those Participants who have at least ten 10 months ofeligibility or claim history during the
applicable twelveI 2 month period i e the Baseline Period orthe Guarantee Period and tenI 0
months of program exposure in the Guarantee Period shall be considered Each Baseline and
Guarantee Period will include three 3 months ofclaims run out
