5 Manufactured Homes<br />

All manufactured homes including recreational vehicles placed on<br />
a site for one hundred eighty 180<br />
consecutive days or longer to<br />
be placed<br />
or substantially improved<br />
shall be installed using<br />
methods and practices which minimize flood damage They shall<br />
also be elevated and anchored to resist flotation collapse and<br />
lateral movement Methods of anchoring may include but are not<br />
limited to use of over the top or frame ties<br />
Elevation construction standards include piling foundations placed<br />
no more than ten feet apart and reinfomement is provided for<br />
piers more than six feet above ground level<br />
B Specific Standards In all areas of special flood hazards where base flood<br />
elevation data has been provided as set forth in Section 15 44 <strong>06</strong>0 basis for<br />
establishing the areas of special<br />
flood hazard or in Section 15 44 030 B Use of<br />
other base flood data the following standards are required<br />
1 Residential Construction<br />
a<br />
New construction and substantial improvement of any residential<br />
structure shall have the lowest floor including basement elevated<br />
to or above base flood elevation<br />
2 Manufactured Homes in Zone A and AE<br />
a All manufactured homes including recreational vehicles placed on<br />
a site for one hundred eighty 180 consecutive days or longer to<br />
be placed or substantially improved shall be elevated so that the<br />
lowest floor is above the base flood elevation This includes<br />
manufactured homes located outside a manufactured home<br />
park or subdivision in a new manufal tured home park or<br />
subdivision in an expansion to an eJdstina manufactured<br />
home park or subdivision or on a site in an existina<br />
manufactured home park or subdivision in which a<br />
manufactured home has incurred subutantial damaae as a<br />
result of a flood
