Use of Other Base Flood Data When base flood elevations data or<br />

floodway data have not been provided in accordance with Section<br />

15 44 <strong>06</strong>0 basis for establishing the areas of special flood hazard the<br />

city engineer shall obtain review and reasonably utilize any base flood<br />

elevation data and floodway data available from a federal state or other<br />

source in order to administer Section 15 44 150<br />

Information to be obtained and maintained by the city engineer<br />

1 Obtain a certificate by a licensed land surveyor of the actual<br />

elevation in relation to mean sea level of the top of the lowest<br />

floor including basement of a structure in a numbered A zone of<br />

all new or substantially improved structures and record Also the<br />

lowest point of the lowest structural member excluding piling or<br />

columns of a structure in the V zone shall be recorded<br />

2 For all new or substantially improved flood proofed structures<br />

Maintain the f1oodproofing certificatil ms required in Section<br />

15 44 150 B 3 c<br />

3 In coastal high hazard areas certification shall be obtained from a<br />

registered professional engineer or architect that the structure is<br />

securely anchored to adequately anchored pilings or columns in<br />

order to withstand velocity waters in hurricane wave wash<br />

4 Maintain for public inspection all records pertaining<br />

provisions of this chapter<br />

Alteration of Watercourse<br />

1 Review any request to alter a watercourse so that the flood<br />

carrying capacity is not diminished City engineer may require that<br />

the site plan be revised if an unacct lptable alteration of a<br />

watercourse is noted<br />

2 Require that maintenance is provided by the owner of the property<br />

within the altered or relocated portion of said watercourse so that
