Full-Time Students<br />

Students enrolled <strong>for</strong> 12 or more credit hours during the fall or spring term or six or more credit hours during the summer I or summer II<br />

terms are considered full-time students.<br />

Graduation Requirements<br />

Students who <strong>complete</strong> a program of study as prescribed by the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will receive a<br />

certificate or an associate degree. Graduates must have a passing grade in all required courses and a 2.00 cumulative grade point average.<br />

Non-credit courses are not recorded on the official transcript and do not count toward <strong>graduation</strong>. College-level credits transferred from<br />

another <strong>college</strong> or university may comprise up to one-half of the credits needed to receive a certificate conferred by UACCM and may<br />

comprise all but 15 of the last 30 hours of an associate degree conferred by UACCM. Exceptions may be granted by the Vice Chancellor <strong>for</strong><br />

Academic Services.<br />

Academic In<strong>for</strong>mation Continued<br />

• n Students have the option of retaking a course. When this occurs, the original grade is still used in calculating the semester grade point<br />

average; however, the most recent grade is used in calculating the cumulative grade point average. The original grade remains a part of the<br />

student’s record.<br />

• n Credit from remedial courses, which are below <strong>college</strong> level, does not count toward meeting the <strong>graduation</strong> degree <strong>requirements</strong>; however,<br />

the grades will be used in calculating the semester grade point average. The grades will not be used in calculating the minimum grade<br />

point average required <strong>for</strong> <strong>graduation</strong>.<br />

Honor Graduate Requirements<br />

Students who meet the following <strong>requirements</strong> may be designated <strong>for</strong> Honor Graduate at the time of <strong>graduation</strong> from UACCM:<br />

Highest Honors<br />

Students completing <strong>graduation</strong> <strong>requirements</strong> <strong>for</strong> a technical certificate or associate degree may be designated as graduating with Highest<br />

Honors if they have earned a 4.00 cumulative grade point average.<br />

Honors<br />

Students completing <strong>graduation</strong> <strong>requirements</strong> <strong>for</strong> a technical certificate or associate degree may be designated as graduating with Honors if<br />

they have earned a 3.50 – 3.99 cumulative grade point average.<br />

Transfer students must have <strong>complete</strong>d at least one-half of their technical certificate or associate degree <strong>requirements</strong> at UACCM with the<br />

required grade point average to be designated as an Honors Graduate.
