Parking/Registering Vehicles<br />

UACCM students and employees who operate vehicles on the UACCM campus are required to register their vehicle with the UACCM<br />

Campus Public Safety Office. Students will receive a numbered decal (permit) which should be placed on the left rear window of the vehicle<br />

or the left rear bumper. Permits can be obtained free at the In<strong>for</strong>mation Desk located in the University Center.<br />

Everyone parking on the UACCM campus is required to adhere to all laws of the state of Arkansas governing motor vehicle operation and all<br />

policies concerning parking established by the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. Violations of parking and/or driving<br />

regulations may result in citations, vehicle being towed and/or revocation of parking privileges.<br />

The Department of Public Safety, as part of its ef<strong>for</strong>ts to improve campus safety, reserves the right to stop any motor vehicle without a<br />

University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton parking decal to determine the reason <strong>for</strong> its presence on the UACCM campus.<br />

Pets<br />

In the interest of promoting personal safety, a healthful environment, and maintenance efficiency, pets are prohibited from the UACCM<br />

campus. Exceptions to this policy are limited to service dogs <strong>for</strong> the visually disabled; animals, fish, fowl, and reptiles under the control of and<br />

use by academic departments <strong>for</strong> approved teaching; and those animals, fish, fowl, or reptiles used in approved per<strong>for</strong>mances.<br />

Property and Rights<br />

The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is not liable <strong>for</strong> damage, theft, or personal loss of property. Students are advised<br />

to check their personal insurance <strong>for</strong> coverage.<br />

Severe Weather Policy<br />

In the event that the weather is so severe that the College administrative officers close the campus, the closing will be reported to Little Rock,<br />

Arkansas, television stations and KVOM Radio (800 AM or 101.7 FM) and a notification message will be sent to AlertXpress registered users.<br />

In<strong>for</strong>mation about closing will also be posted on The Campus Link Blog and UACCM Facebook page. Students should exercise judgment<br />

<strong>for</strong> personal safety regardless of College announcements as there is no way the administration can review road conditions throughout the<br />

College’s service area.<br />

General In<strong>for</strong>mation Continued<br />

Sexual Harassment Policy<br />

Harassment on the basis of sex is illegal and a violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, as amended. This policy defines sexual<br />

harassment and establishes a procedure whereby alleged sexually harassed faculty, staff, and students may lodge a complaint immediately<br />

and confidentially.<br />

• The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton is committed to the maintenance of a working and academic<br />

environment free from all <strong>for</strong>ms of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is a violation of College policy as well as state and federal<br />

law and is neither permitted nor condoned.<br />

• It is also a violation of the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton’s policy against sexual harassment <strong>for</strong> any<br />

employee or student at the College to attempt in any way to retaliate against a person who makes a claim of sexual harassment.<br />

• Any individual found to have violated the College’s policy against sexual harassment will be subject to appropriate disciplinary<br />

action including, but not limited to, reprimand, suspension, termination, or expulsion. Any disciplinary action taken will depend<br />

upon the severity of the offense.<br />

• n Definition. Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances, request <strong>for</strong> sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of<br />

a sexual nature when:
