<strong>complete</strong>d prior to NUR 1004 if placement<br />

The Nursing Assisting program, approved by the Department of Health and Human<br />

Services Office of Long Term Care combines classroom instruction and a clinical<br />

component. The student is prepared to provide caring, competent, and skilled<br />

nursing care to residents in long term care, hospice, and acute care facilities. Upon<br />

successful completion of the course with a grade of “C” or better, the student will<br />

take the state competency exam. With successful passage, the student will become<br />

a Certified Nursing Assistant.<br />
