Graduation Policy<br />

Students must have successfully <strong>complete</strong>d all general education courses and all nursing courses with a grade of “C” or better. Upon<br />

completion, the student’s status will be submitted to the State Board of Nursing declaring that the student wishes to sit <strong>for</strong> the licensing<br />

examination.<br />

In addition, students must successfully <strong>complete</strong> the ATI Comprehensive Predictor (comprehensive exit exam):<br />

• n The Comprehensive Predictor grade will be placed in the NCLEX Preparation Course 2311.<br />

• n Students must show successful completion of the NCSBN 21 Day Review by the assigned date to take the ATI Comprehensive Predictor.<br />

(NCSBN 21 Day Review is not a grade, but a prerequisite to take the ATI Comprehensive Predictor).<br />

a. Failure to <strong>complete</strong> the NCSBN 21 Day Review will result in a grade of “I” until the student provides proof of successful<br />

completion. If the student exceeds the perspective institutions policy regarding grades of “I” converting to grades of “F”, the<br />

student will receive a grade of “F” in the NCLEX Preparation Course 2311.<br />

• n If the student passes/fails the predictor their grade will be assigned as follows:<br />

b. Passes the first attempt: 100%<br />

c. Passes the second attempt: 89%<br />

d. Passes the third attempt: 83%<br />

e. Fails the third attempt : “I”<br />

• At the student’s cost, the student will be required to <strong>complete</strong> the ATI Online NCLEX Review with Tutor. This tutor will in<strong>for</strong>m both<br />

the student and program chair when the student has demonstrated the ability to successfully pass the NCLEX exam. The student<br />

must also successfully <strong>complete</strong> the Comprehensive Predictor with ATI. After these <strong>requirements</strong> are met, the student’s grade of “I”<br />

will be converted to an 83%. It is recommended that the student <strong>complete</strong> the ATI Online NCLEX Review with Tutor within 6 weeks<br />

of their third unsuccessful attempt at the ATI Comprehensive Predictor.<br />

• n Successful completion of the ATI NCLEX Review with Tutor and successful completion of the ATI Comprehensive Predictor exceeding the<br />

perspective institutions policy regarding grades of “I” converting to grades of “F”, will result in the student receiving a grade of “F” in the<br />

NCLEX Preparation Course 2311.<br />

• Students receiving an “F” in NCLEX Preparation Course 2311 will not successfully meet course <strong>requirements</strong> and transcripts will not<br />

be released to take state boards.<br />

After the student passes the final comprehensive exit exam, they will <strong>complete</strong> the remaining 50 percent of the NCLEX-RN Preparation<br />

Course. The remaining 50 percent of this course is <strong>complete</strong>d via an online review course that students <strong>complete</strong> at the end of the fall semester.<br />

Due to un<strong>for</strong>eseen circumstances (i.e., unacceptable criminal background check), <strong>graduation</strong> from the ARNEC LPN/LPTN-to-RN<br />

Transition program does NOT automatically enable the student to sit <strong>for</strong> the NCLEX-RN. This is determined by the Arkansas State Board<br />

of Nursing.
