Alumni Association<br />

Students who attended the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton (UACCM), Petit Jean College (PJC), Petit Jean Technical<br />

College (PJTC), or Petit Jean Vocational-Technical School (PJVTS) are eligible to become members of the UACCM Alumni Association. Current<br />

UACCM students are automatically enrolled in the Alumni Association upon <strong>graduation</strong>, and membership is free and open to all <strong>for</strong>mer<br />

students. For more <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong>, contact the Alumni Office at (501) 977-2085 or submit an alumni application online at http://www.uaccm.<br />

edu.<br />

Campus Emergency Alert<br />

The UACCM Campus Alert system allows campus administrators to quickly communicate with students, faculty, and staff in the event<br />

of an urgent situation on campus such as campus closings, inclement weather, or campus security incidents. The privacy and priority of<br />

participant’s personal <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong> will be preserved and will not be shared with third parties <strong>for</strong> commercial or other purposes than this<br />

notification system.<br />

UACCM requests that all students provide a phone number and e-mail address to receive emergency alert messages. A new feature in<br />

Campus Connect allows individuals to add up to three phone numbers and one e-mail address which will be used in the event of a campus<br />

emergency. The alert system will call the provided phone numbers and send an e-mail with an emergency message. For more <strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation</strong>,<br />

contact the Vice Chancellor <strong>for</strong> Student Services at (501) 977-2191.<br />

Career Pathways<br />

Career Pathways offers certain individuals free career training and <strong>college</strong> classes. In addition, the Career Pathways program may be able<br />

to help students overcome barriers that have kept them from getting the training and education they need. Help with things like child care,<br />

career counseling, tutoring, tuition, books and supplies is available. <strong>To</strong> be eligible, parents must meet certain income <strong>requirements</strong> and have<br />

custody of at least one child under the age of 21 living in their residence. If you are interested, please contact the Career Pathways Office at<br />

(501) 977-2186.<br />

Career Services<br />

Career Services will help match <strong>your</strong> personal interests, values, and abilities to the work<strong>for</strong>ce. UACCM students and prospective students<br />

may receive test results to help determine their personality, skills, and aptitudes aligned with specific career areas. Career Services offers<br />

help with resume writing, cover letters, digital professional portfolios, interviewing skills, dressing <strong>for</strong> success, and setting career goals. Onsite<br />

interviews are conducted by various companies. The Virtual Career Center allows students to build a professional portfolio, create and<br />

submit resumes, locate and apply <strong>for</strong> jobs, and research careers. When you finish career sessions, you will have an understanding of how <strong>your</strong><br />

personality, skills, education, and values will ensure success in specific career areas.<br />

Child Care Services<br />

The Earle Love Child Study Center which is located on the UACCM campus provides child care services to students and community families.<br />

The Center has a Level Two Better Beginning rating awarded by DHS/Division of Child Care and Early Childhood Education.<br />

College Dining Services<br />

During the fall, spring, and summer semesters, The Plaza is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Daily offerings include<br />

continental breakfast items from 7:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. and daily lunch specials, salads, and soups served from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Menu items<br />

are reasonably priced and dine-in drink refills are free. The Plaza is located on the west end of campus and offers ample parking and a casual<br />

atmosphere. The Plaza can also be reserved <strong>for</strong> special events outside of normal operating hours. For special arrangements, call (501) 977-2081.<br />
