6. Bewator <strong>Reader</strong>s<br />

6.1. Remote Card <strong>Reader</strong> Model BC18<br />

The reader does not require a separate power supply when being connected to the Dual <strong>Reader</strong> Interface<br />

Module. However, the reader will need an alternate 5 VDC power connection if it is connected to a Single<br />

<strong>Reader</strong> Interface Module. The recommended draw is 40 mA and the reader needs to be connected to 5 VDC.<br />

Also, be sure to set up Jumper J2 for REGULATED power mode. J4 should be configured for 5 VDC.<br />

Recommended operating temperature: -10° to 55° C<br />
