17. Keri <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>Reader</strong>s<br />

Use the following diagrams to wire (single wire LED control) Single/Dual <strong>Reader</strong> Interface Modules and<br />

Keri <strong>Systems</strong> readers.<br />

17.1. Cascade and Sierra <strong>Reader</strong>s (P-300, P-400, P-500, P-600 with<br />

Keypad, P-700)<br />

The Keri <strong>Systems</strong> <strong>Reader</strong>s operate at 12 VDC. All the reader models require an alternate 12 VDC power<br />

source when being connected to the Single <strong>Reader</strong> Interface. They cannot be powered from the reader<br />

interface module. The readers also feature Prox by HID Technology (optional) which allows them to be<br />

compatible with ProxCard II, ISO Prox II, ProxKey II in 26-bit and other customer HID card format.<br />

Note:<br />

The keypad for the P-600 is 8-bit output.<br />

2. Jumper J4 must be set to 12 VDC<br />
