2. Product to be as manufactured by Kawneer, Arcadia or equal. Units to be factory<br />

assembled fixed and operable window units. Provide true divided lights per layout in<br />

elevations.<br />

3. Finish to be either anodized aluminum or Kynar factory paint finish in standard color<br />

range.<br />

4. High clerestory windows at public spaces are to be mechanically operable, either by<br />

electric operators or remote cranks. This is part <strong>of</strong> the building’s natural ventilation<br />

system.<br />

5. Provide Weather-stripping at all four sides <strong>of</strong> all operable exterior window and door<br />

panels.<br />

7. Include factory-installed screens at all operable window units. Screen cloth to be<br />

aluminum with charcoal color. Frame finish to match windows.<br />

Section 08710: Door Hardware<br />

1. Contractor to furnish owner with individual door hardware manufacturer’s standard<br />

warranty against defects and workmanship, signed jointly by the contractor,<br />

manufacturer, supplier and installer, to include prompt replacement <strong>of</strong> defective door<br />

hardware items during the warranty period. Defects include, but are not limited to<br />

failure to remain in proper adjustment and deterioration <strong>of</strong> finishes in normal wear.<br />

2. Standard finish to be satin chrome, or compatible manufacturer’s standard finish,<br />

unless otherwise noted. Closers are to be powder coated to match other hardware at<br />

each door.<br />

4. Coordinate keying with owner prior to installation. Furnish six keys per cylinder and<br />

six master keys.<br />

5. An electronic card reader system will be required at all major entries, and elsewhere in<br />

the facility. This will need to be integrated with the building security system.<br />

6. Hardware materials: Manufacturers are to be as follows or approved equal. These<br />

are the products called out in the hardware groups below.<br />

a. Butt Hinges: Hager<br />

b. Offset Hinges: Hager Roton continuous gear hinges,<br />

c. Locksets, Latchsets,<br />

Lock Cylinders:<br />

d. Panic Devices: Von Duprin<br />

Schlage series D lever hardware with Rhodes lever<br />

design<br />

Schlage series B deadbolts<br />
