b. Duct detectors shall be provided by Division 16 for any supply fans 2,000<br />

CFM and above, installed by Division 15, connected complete by Division<br />

16.<br />

c. Ceiling mounted smoke detectors will be provided in all spaces to comply<br />

with DSA State requirements for all public schools K through 12. Ceiling<br />

mounted heat detectors shall be provided in the mechanical rooms. All<br />

device coverage to be per NFPA guidelines.<br />

d. Connections for fire sprinkler flow switches, valve supervisory switches,<br />

and P.I.V. valves (provided and installed under Division 15) shall be<br />

provided under Division 16.<br />

e. Provide a central station connection for <strong>of</strong>f-site monitoring and a remote<br />

annunciator mounted at the main entrance. Provide and install U. L.<br />

listed Communicator with two (2) dedicated Analog telephone lines. The<br />

lines shall be used for notification <strong>of</strong> the Fire Monitoring Vendor. The<br />

installation contractor shall monitor the fire alarm system for a period <strong>of</strong><br />

one (1) year after date <strong>of</strong> acceptance.<br />

f. All fire alarm system wiring shall be in conduit.<br />

g. Wall mounted horn/strobes shall be installed throughout the facility as<br />

required by code to provide both audible and visual alarm notification.<br />

h. Wall mounted manual pull stations shall be installed at all exits as<br />

required by code.<br />

i. Fire/Smoke dampers shall be provided with integral duct detectors by<br />

Division 15 and have stand-alone control. Division 16 shall provide 120V<br />

power for each damper/detector assembly and monitor each detector for<br />

alarm and trouble.<br />

j. The new system shall be designed to make every effort to reuse the<br />

existing Gymnasium fire alarm devices. Per DSA requirements the<br />

Gymnasium will need to comply with current code requirements, which<br />

could require the addition <strong>of</strong> smoke detectors.<br />

4. Telephone System:<br />

a. Telephone service shall be extended from the street to the main Telecom<br />

room. Relocation <strong>of</strong> existing underground telephone conduits and pull<br />

boxes will be required at the existing building entry on 47 th street.<br />

b. Provide and install a main telephone terminal backboard in the main<br />
