HAROLD W. HOEHNER<br />

Distinguished Professor of New Testament Studies<br />

1968–.<br />

B.A., Barrington College, 1958; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1962; Th.D., 1965; Ph.D.,<br />

Cambridge University, 1968; postdoctoral study, Tübingen University and Cambridge<br />

University.<br />

Dr. Hoehner has written for scholarly journals and publications. He is especially<br />

well regarded for his work on biblical chronology, including the time aspects in and around the<br />

life of Christ, the rule of Herod Antipas, and the period between the Testaments. He has traveled<br />

and ministered in Hungary, Czech Republic, Ukraine, the Near East, Russia, South Africa, and<br />

Indonesia. Along with his many professional memberships, he serves on the board of Jews for Jesus.<br />

NATHAN D. HOLSTEEN<br />

University of Aberdeen, 1996.<br />

Dr. Holsteen has worked full-time in engineering and in ministry, and also has<br />

served as adjunct professor for The Criswell College and for <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong><br />

before joining the faculty in 2005. He particularly is interested in encouraging<br />

students to be fully engaged in the world outside the seminary walls, and loves to discuss the<br />

development of theological systems, especially in Reformation and post-Reformation contexts.<br />

He and his wife, Janice, have two children.<br />

J. SCOTT HORRELL<br />

Professor of <strong>Theological</strong> Studies<br />

1997–.<br />

B.A., Seattle Pacific University, 1971; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1977; Th.D., 1988.<br />

Dr. Horrell has been a missionary and theologian in various world cultures, in<br />

addition to evangelism and church-planting with World Team, InterVarsity, and<br />

Youth with a Mission (YWAM). Along with cofounding and editing a leading Latin<br />

American theological journal, he has written several books in Portuguese and English. He especially<br />

loves to strengthen international believers in the truths of the Bible.<br />

ROBERT D. IBACH<br />

Indiana University, 1975.<br />

Before coming to <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> Mr. Ibach was library director at Grace College<br />

and Grace <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, where he also taught biblical archaeology for<br />

17 years. He has served as a consultant for several libraries in the United States and Israel,<br />

and is an active member of the Society of Biblical Literature, the American <strong>Theological</strong> Library<br />

Association, and several regional library organizations.<br />

ELLIOTT E. JOHNSON<br />

Senior Professor of Bible Exposition<br />

1972–.<br />

B.S., Northwestern University, 1959; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1964; Th.D., 1968.<br />

Dr. Johnson is the founder of the Asian <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> and has taught<br />

extensively overseas, including the Philippines, Poland, the former Czechoslovakia,<br />

Romania, and Russia. He also has ministered in Austria, Brazil, England, Germany,<br />

Israel, and Scotland. Dr. Johnson joined the <strong>Seminary</strong> as afaculty member in 1972 and as a<br />

pastor of a <strong>Dallas</strong>-area church the same year. He is a member of the Evangelical <strong>Theological</strong><br />

Society (ETS).<br />
