OSCAR M. LÓPEZ<br />
Professor of Pastoral Ministries<br />
1998–.<br />
B.A., Westmont College, 1967; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1975; Th.D., 1993.<br />
For more than 30 years Dr. López has played a pivotal role with CAM International,<br />
spreading the Word in many bilingual and bicultural contexts. He is an international<br />
worship consultant who has taught seminars in the United States, Canada, Latin<br />
America, and Spain. He also ministers in East Asia and East Africa. Along with his roles of<br />
pastor and church planter, he spent 12 years as a faculty member at the Central American<br />
<strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, and worked as a radio program director and station manager. His research<br />
interests include worship in Latin American and Spanish contexts. His teaching interests include<br />
preaching, evangelism, and worship.<br />

DAVID K. LOWERY<br />
Professor of New Testament Studies<br />

B.A., The King’s College, 1971; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1975; Ph.D., University of<br />
Aberdeen, 1987; postdoctoral study, Tübingen University.<br />
Dr. Lowery has been involved in church planting for over three decades in Vermont<br />
and Texas. This veteran of the faculty has been an associate pastor at a <strong>Dallas</strong>-area<br />
church for more than 20 years. Dr. Lowery is a frequent author in leading journals and magazines<br />
and has contributed to the New American Standard Bible and the NET Bible. Dr. Lowery has<br />
taught in Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the South Pacific. His particular areas of<br />
focus in the New Testament are Matthew, Mark, and Paul’s letters.<br />
AUBREY M. MALPHURS<br />

<strong>Seminary</strong>, 1978; Ph.D., 1981.<br />
Dr. Malphurs is a visionary with a deep desire to influence a new generation of leaders<br />
through his classroom, pulpit, consulting, and writing ministries. He is involved in<br />
a number of ministries ranging from church planting and growth to leadership development. He<br />
has pastored three churches and is the author of numerous books and articles on leadership and<br />
church ministry. Currently he is the president of the Malphurs Group and is a trainer and consultant<br />
to churches, denominations, and ministry organizations throughout North America and Europe.<br />
His research and teaching interests include church planting, church growth, and leadership development.<br />
LINDA M. MARTEN<br />
Assistant Professor of Biblical Counseling<br />
2002–.<br />
B.A., University of Iowa, 1964; M.A., University of Northern Iowa, 1971; Ph.D., University of North<br />
Texas, 1984.<br />
Dr. Marten has over 30 years of counseling experience in private practice, at<br />
a university, and in an agency facility. She is a licensed professional counselor<br />
and supervisor, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a clinical member of the<br />
American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She also has supervised students in a<br />
master’s-level counseling practicum at <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> and taught psychology and counseling<br />
at <strong>Dallas</strong> Bible College.<br />
