LINDEN D. MCLAUGHLIN<br />
Associate Professor of Christian Education<br />

Texas, 2002.<br />
Dr. McLaughlin brings a love for the pulpit to the classroom. His 20-plus years of<br />
ministry encompass nearly every aspect of church administration and Christian<br />
education. He brings to <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong> a wide variety of experience, ranging from campus staff<br />
minister for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to a guest professorship at the Greek Bible Institute<br />
in Athens. Dr. McLaughlin also has been active on the boards of the Texas Sunday School Association<br />
and the Professional Association of Christian Educators. He is interested in writing about learning<br />
domains and the educational cycle.<br />
EUGENE H. MERRILL<br />

Columbia University, 1976; Ph.D., 1985.<br />
Dr. Merrill has been heavily involved in international Christian ministry in Europe,<br />
Asia, and the Near East. As a scholar Dr. Merrill regularly contributes to leading<br />
journals, periodicals, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and commentaries. Academia runs in his family<br />
as his wife, Janet, holds a doctorate in counselor education from Columbia University and his<br />
daughter, Sonya, earned a Ph.D. in medical ethics from the University of London and an M.D.<br />
from Harvard University.<br />
J. DWIGHT PENTECOST<br />
Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Bible Exposition<br />
1955–.<br />
B.A., Hampden-Sydney College, 1937; Th.M., <strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>Theological</strong> <strong>Seminary</strong>, 1941; Th.D., 1956.<br />
Dr. Pentecost is recognized in every circle of evangelicalism for his 19 books, including<br />
Things to Come and The Words and Works of Jesus Christ. He pastored for 10 years<br />
before joining the <strong>Seminary</strong> faculty in 1955, and held a pastorate for 18 years during<br />
his faculty tenure. Today he remains in great demand as a conference speaker and Bible teacher<br />
who has ministered on six continents.<br />
MICHAEL POCOCK<br />
Chair and Senior Professor of World Missions<br />
and Intercultural Studies<br />

B.A., Washington Bible College, 1964; M.Div., Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, 1967; Th.M., 1969;<br />
D.Miss., 1981.<br />
A native of England who spent his formative years in the United States, Dr. Pocock<br />
always has subscribed to an intercultural approach to the gospel. Before joining the <strong>Seminary</strong>’s<br />
World Missions faculty in 1987, he pastored a culturally diverse church in Chicago. He also ministered<br />
for 16 years with The Evangelical Alliance Mission, first in Venezuela and later as mobilization<br />
director in Wheaton, Illinois. He continues to travel extensively in order to participate in<br />
missions ministries and conferences. Over the past several years Dr. Pocock has researched and<br />
written on the development of multicultural churches in America (2002) and the impact of<br />
globalization on missions (2005). He currently is researching human migration in Scripture<br />
and the implications for ministry worldwide. Dr. Pocock has been a visiting professor at Christian<br />
colleges and seminaries around the world.<br />
