INDIANA DELTA, Franklin College.—The FrankUn
Phis were aU smiles when they returned to school this
Fall. With good reason—Indiana Delta won the very
coveted Cleveland Trophy. A year of hard work in scholar-

Shown is the intramural all-sports trophy, flanked on
either side by cups awarded to Franklin's outstanding
freshman and senior. First place trophies in golf, basketball,
volleyball, tennis, and track surround the Blue Key
Leadership Scroll, awarded to the Franklin senior displaying
most qualities of leadership during his four years.
Franklin Phis captured all of these trophies last year.

Robert Cross, president of Kappa Province, made the
award toUowing a dinner tor chapter members and
alumni. Brother Cross congratulated the chapter on an
outstanding year, and then, in a separate address, urged
the new Phikeias to follow the fine example of leaderr
ship available to them through being associated with
*A9. Indiana Delta has won the trophy twice before,
in 1948-49 and 1930-31. The Franklin Alumni Club has
planned a banquet in the near future honoring the active
members of the chapter. Rush week ended at FrankUn
October 3, and Indiana Delta has added a fine group of
twenty new Phikeias. They are: Robert Paris, Larry Mc­
Queen and Gary Lindsey, Columbus; Max Wesemann,
French Lick; Richard McElheny, Peru; Ted Gibbens,
Goldsmith; Ed Brooks, Richard Darling, Greenfield;
Elmer Strautman, Richard Hastings, Rising Sun; Arthur
Sanders, Robert HamUton, Mitchell; James Fleener,
Indianapolis; Larry Clark, Anderson; Don DeHart, Moral
Township; Don Decker, Bluffton; James Steele, Roachdale;
Don Miller, Westport, Conn.; Richard Adams, Hammond,
and John Waugaman, Ford City, Pa. An informal
dance in the basement and a wiener roast and scavenger
hunt the.following week brought many of the new Freshman
women over to the Phi house. October 11 was Open
House at Indiana Delta. The semi-annual Mothers' Day

INDIANA EPSILON, Hanover College.—^While looking
forward to another year at Hanover, we cannot help
but look back on the previous one. With our proud
accomplishments of last year went seventeen men through
graduation. Greatly missed will be our past president,
Fred Harlow, who was also president of the Student
Council and a member of the student affairs board. We
are also sorry to sky goodby to Bob Moore who as
chorister made possible our winning of the State Dsy
singing trophy. And thanks to all those brothers who
aided us in ol}t^ining the trophy for the best all-around
