How to Get to Mackinac
Island
By Rail: The Pennsylvania R.R. has excellent
sleeper train service from such terminal
points as Chicago, Cincinnati, Indianapolis
and Grand Rapids. The New York
Central provides equally good accommodations
from Detroit. Arrival at Mackinaw
City is arranged to allow sufficient time to
catch the 9:00 A.M. ferry to Mackinac Island.
By Motor: Excellent motor highways fan
out from Mackinaw City and St. Ignace in
all directions. These are the two mainland
points on opposite sides of the Straits of
Mackinac where your car must be placed in
storage before ferrying to Mackinac Island.
Automobiles are not permitted on the
island.
Hotel
Reservations
The Grand Hotel has guaranteed *A0
accommodations for 450 people. Arrangements
can be made, if necessary, to find
other quarters for some of our younger
visitors who may wish less expensive accommodations.
If you wish to stay at the
Grand, it is not a bit too early to make your
reservation. Do it today on the form provided
below. Send the reservation slip to:
