Beta has had several parties this quarter, one being a
Miami Triad dance which was most successful. The high-
Ught of the season was the Winter formal held the weekend
of February 12 and 13. At that time the new brothers
were presented. The weekend activities began Friday afternoon
when the brothers moved out of the chapter house
and their dates moved in. That night Snapfinger Farm was
the scene of an informal dance accompanied by a combo.
The banquet and formal were held on the Rainbow Roof
of the Dinkier Plaza Hotel. Music was provided by
Walt Cunningham and orchestra after which brealifast

GEORGIA DELTA, Georgia Institute of Technology.—
Up seven notchesl The active members of Georgia Delta
have improved their scholastic standing on the campus by
jumping from an ignominious nineteenth to a respectable
twelfth place in the list of 26 fratemities. Render Crayton,
past reporter, has the distinction of being one of the few
perfect students on the campus. Render, a textile engineering
major, had the highest possible average, 4.0. As defending
champions Georgia Delta expects to rank high in intramural
basketbaU. The Phi swimming team was nosed out
for first place by a scant point in the finals of the intramural
swimming meet. Members of Georgia Delta have
distinguished themselves in extracurricular activities.
Virgil Tedder is the current president of the Koseme Sodety.
Junior honorary club; Render Crayton is head man
of the Navy R.O.T.C; Bill Blackburn is president of the
Ramblin Reck club; Phikeia Wade Mitchell was selected
on the all-S.E.C Freshman footbaU team and at the same
time became a member of H 2; Sonny Baumgardner is
also
