short of being unanimous.
The first tie in Phi basketball
history occurred when Carl Ince,
Texas Tedi star, and Dwight Mor
rison, Idaho veteran, were dead
locked with 19 points each in the voting.
At center is 6'Q" B. H. Born, Kansas, a
1953 AU-Phi, All-Big Seven, Helm's All-
American, and the NCAA's most valuable
player. This season his performance has not

been quite as spectacular but he has kept
the Jayhawkers on top of the Big
Seven Conference. Again he repeated
on the National Coaches

Iowa State, 29 against Tulane,
and 28 against Tulsa
and Oklahoma.

eager is a Chicagoan—Jim Barron,
Michigan guard, who ranks seventh
among the Big Ten Conference
scorers with a 20.4 average per game. This
means that Barron tallied 20 points or more
against every opponent and this is a remarkable
achievement considering the caliber of
