PHIS AT THE N.l.C.
At least 26 Phis were present when the National Interfraternity Conference convened in Cincinnati the
weekend of Thanksgiving. Fourteen of these were undergraduates, selected as representatives by their

Autonomy Resolution Passed at N.l.C.
FRATERNITY HAS BIG DELEGATION AT ANNUAL
MEETING HELD IN CINCINNATI NOVEMBER 27-28
PHI DELTA THETA was well represented
at the Forty-fifth annual session
of the National Interfraternity Conference,
which was held at the Sheraton Gibson
Hotel, Cincinnati, Ohio, November 27-28.
Official delegates were George S. Ward,
P.G.C, Paul C. Beam, Executive Secretary,
and Hayward Biggers, Editor of THE
SCROLL. In addition, one of the N.I.C.'s
great workers. Past Chairman William R.
Bayes, P.P.G.C, was present, as were Assistant
Secretaries Robert Miller, Marvin
Perry, and Lothar Vasholz. The Fraternity
may well be proud of the fact also that fourteen
Phis represented their respective Interfraternity
Councils at the undergraduate
session of the Conference.
Passed at the Conference was a resolution
on fraternity autonomy which has been an
N.l.C issue since 1950 as a result of efforts
by several college administrators to regulate
