New House Looms
for Ohio Zeta;
Ground Is Broken

OHIO ZETA men will long remember
April 10, 1954, as a milestone in the
life of the chapter at Ohio State University.
At two P.M. on that date William S. Brown,
Ohio State '07, surrounded by the House
Company and active chapter men, broke
ground with the first spadeful of dirt, commemorating
the start of construction of
Ohio Zeta's new chapter house. The new
home will be built on the grounds of the
present location at 1942 luka Avenue in
Columbus.
The ground-breaking ceremonies were
preceded by a highly successful fund raising
campaign, which has been in progress for
several months under the capable direction
of George (Red) Trautman, Ohio State '14,
high commissioner of the Minor Baseball
Leagues. Brother Trautman has been assisted
by Ralph Warne, finance chairman,
and a committee of 25 enthusiastic Phis.
The new house will actually consist of
a complete remodeling of the present home,
with a new four-story wing added in the
