Texas Beta To Welcome Alumni
in New Home

ON April 2, 3, and4, Texas Beta chapter
of # A ©, located at the University of
Texas, will hold its first reunion since its
founding in 1883. At the some time the
chapter will dedicate its new house. This
most important function will be held in
coordination with the annual University of
Texas Round-Up which attracts many hundreds
of people from the entire Southwest.
The annual Round-Up is a most auspicious
occasion, sponsored by the University of
Texas each Spring, but this year it will have
an added significance—an historic significance
to 71-year-old Texas Beta chapter.
On Friday, April 2, and
continuing until noon the
following Sunday, Texas
Beta's new chapter house
at 2300 Nueces will be the
hub of continuous activity.
Members of the active
chapter and its alumni
throughout the country
are looking forward to the
occasion and everybody is
making big plans for a
weekend of fun and fellowship
during which
they will renew friendships
of years' standing.

Committee
For a number of years now the University
of Texas has been staging its fabulous
Round-Up, replete with the famous Texas
Relays, the grandiose two-hour Round-Up
Parade, and the Revue and Dance featuring
a nationally known orchestra that climaxes
the annual homecoming "calendar."
For the Phis, this will be their first formal
reunion. The actives are looking forward
to it because it will give them an opportunity
to show oft their new and extremely
attractive home. The alumni are looking
forward to the occasion because it will permit
them the first opportunity to inspect
the new house and visit
with their old "Brothers."
It should be a great day
for everyone, including
the families of the alumni
who have been issued
special invitations.
The schedule of events
is attractive enough to
lure every loyal Texas
Beta Phi and the committee
in charge of arrangements
is expecting some
200 to 300 of its illustrious
alumni and their
families to be on hand for
