Operates shelters in Santa Fe and outreach crisis centers in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, and Mora. Child counseling has been one of the most effective means of prevention of future domestic violence. The child counseling gives parents a motivation to resolve their problems. *Ex-offenders welcome. Temporary shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Advocacy for women and their children. Length of stay 30, 60, 90 days, and in some cases an extension may be granted. Shelter capacity is for 20 adults and 18 children (boys 13 years and older, and girls of all ages. Other service provided: safety, advocacy, education, referrals, crisis intervention, networking and transportation. Office open Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM; open 24/7 for crisis situations. *Ex-offenders welcome. Offers education, counseling, a shelter for victims of domestic violence, and legal services for children and their families effected by domestic violence and sexual abuse.
