The Food Program is designed to promote the<br />
general welfare and to safeguard the health and<br />
well-being <strong>of</strong> the nation’s population by raising<br />
the levels <strong>of</strong> nutrition among low-income<br />
households.<br />

Provides groceries to families and individuals on<br />

Drop-In Center: A welcome place for<br />
street/homeless people to get a cup <strong>of</strong> c<strong>of</strong>fee and<br />
a snack. They can make local phone calls, and<br />
store some belongings. Food Pantry provides<br />
nourishing food for persons in need.<br />
Immigration & Citizenship Bilingual staff helps<br />
with gaining or changing legal status. Assists<br />
those eligible for citizenship translate documents.<br />
Spanish speaking support group for victims <strong>of</strong><br />
Domestic violence, English classes by San Juan<br />
College.<br />
Teen Parent Program Assists young people ages<br />
11 through 22 who are pregnant or parenting a<br />
child. Case manager visits the home, holds Life<br />
skill classes, encourages progress toward living<br />
independently as a family.<br />
Assists with some basic needs, supported by<br />
donations.<br />

Supplemental food and nutrition education<br />
program. Also provides a referral to other<br />
agencies.<br />
