Vocational rehabilitation is a service of the
Federal Government and the Navajo Tribe that
provides goods or services necessary to render a
disabled individual employable. Rehabilitation
services are provided, on an individual basis,
services are provided according to an individual’s
particular needs toward eventual employment.
Provisions of services are as follows:
*diagnostic/related services; *Native Healing
Science, guidance, counseling and referral;
*mental/physical restoration, vocational and
other training services; *tuition, books/ supplies,
personal needs, allowances, room/board,
transportation;
job placement: *tools, equipment, initial stocks,
supplies, and occupational licenses; auxiliary
sensory (deaf-blind) disabled services, etc;
Post employment services, and independent living
services.
An * indicates that these services are conditioned
on financial need.
**Native American ex-offenders welcome to
apply; will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Must live within a 10-mile radius of reservation.
