Provides emotional support to survivors <strong>of</strong> sexual<br />
assault and abuse. Advocacy and information<br />
available. A 24-hour crisis hotline is available for<br />
anyone with sexual assault or abuse issues.<br />
Cooperates with Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner<br />
(SANE) for additional medical and hospital<br />
services.<br />
The Peer Support Advocacy Program assigns an<br />
advocate to a client, and interacts by providing<br />
support through phone and in person contact.<br />
*Ex-<strong>of</strong>fenders welcome (ONLY victims <strong>of</strong> sexual<br />
assault).<br />
The Commission assists victims <strong>of</strong> violent crime<br />
with expenses incurred as a result <strong>of</strong> their<br />
victimization.<br />
Services are provided to victims who have<br />
suffered physical injury or extreme mental<br />
distress as a result <strong>of</strong> a crime. Financial<br />
assistance is provided to victims. The crime act<br />
and the violence against women act are enforced.<br />

Provides case management to battered Latino<br />
women. The case managers act as advocates to<br />
the victims to get restraining orders, find housing,<br />
and food assistance. Also <strong>of</strong>fers counseling for<br />
women and children and a family program.<br />
Sessions in Spanish only.<br />
*Ex-<strong>of</strong>fenders welcome, must speak Spanish.<br />
Emergency shelter, crisis intervention, and<br />
support services for victims <strong>of</strong> domestic violence.<br />
Free to residents <strong>of</strong> Sandoval County.<br />
