This site <strong>of</strong>fers the Special Supplemental<br />

Nutritional Program (WIC), which screens women,<br />

infants, and children under five years <strong>of</strong> age, to<br />

identify health and nutrition problems. Enrolled<br />

parents and guardians participate in nutrition<br />

education and receive monthly vouchers<br />

redeemable for high nutrient foods.<br />

In addition, the site <strong>of</strong>fers Clinical and Preventive<br />

Services (CAPS), and Children’s Medical Services<br />

(CMS).<br />

Open Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM.<br />

Language Services: English and Spanish.<br />

*Ex-<strong>of</strong>fenders welcome.<br />

Provides nutritious food to middle and low income<br />

families with infants and pre-school children (from<br />

birth through age 5), or pregnant and postpartum<br />

mothers not receiving WIC.<br />

They also provide nutritious foods to lower income<br />

seniors, age 60 and older.<br />

Open Monday-Friday, 8 AM-12 PM, and 1 PM-<br />

5:30 PM.<br />

Economic Council Helping Others, Inc. provides<br />

numerous services to low-income individuals in<br />

San Juan County, pre-school, emergency rent,<br />

emergency food boxes, commodities, non-pr<strong>of</strong>it<br />

agency food program, and self-help affordable<br />

housing.<br />

This is an umbrella corporation for agencies that<br />

do provide all <strong>of</strong> these services.<br />

Food is distributed Thursday evenings from 5 PM<br />

-6 PM, also <strong>of</strong>fers clothing and appliances,on a<br />

first come, first served basis.<br />

Individuals are required to fill out two forms, one<br />

for food distribution, and the other for a needs<br />

list.<br />
