Early Childhood Training and Technical Assistance
Information about child care in your area.
Service area: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Socorro,
Torrance, Valencia, and Cibola Counties.
Helps you select the type of child care you want.
Services to Parents/Guardians:
* Help in identifying quality child care;
* Questions to ask care givers;
* Information about regulations governing child
care in New Mexico;
* Parenting workshops; and
* Access to Cariño's Family Resource Libraries.
Services to Child Care Professionals:
* Training opportunities;
* Information regarding licensing/regulatory
issues;
* Information about accreditation; and
* Contact with professional associations.
Services to Businesses:
* Assessment of employee child care needs;
* Assistance in identifying the impact of child
care benefit options; and
* Information regarding nationwide child care
resources.
*Ex-offenders welcome.
Childcare center for children ages 6 weeks to 5
years old. Must meet federal poverty guidelines
to qualify.
Free weekly workshops providing educational
modules covering: children, intimacy, conflict, and
stress.
Free Family Supportive Services: Case
management for program participants;
partnerships between family and staff to achieve
personal and family goals; home visits; and
reinforcement of module content.
