The Four Corners Home for Children is a division<br />

<strong>of</strong> Navajo Ministries. Two homes are designed<br />

for extended-care dependent children, both<br />

through family placement and Social Services.<br />

One home provides short-term care to children in<br />

crisis. The Moms Too Program has one home with<br />

a mentoring mom giving directions and<br />

encouragement to single moms and their children.<br />

Assistance is provided in the areas <strong>of</strong> education,<br />

parenting skills, spiritual growth, and<br />

employment.<br />

The home is licensed by the State <strong>of</strong> New Mexico<br />

and is also a member <strong>of</strong> the New Mexico Christian<br />

Childcare Association, which provides certification<br />

to the program.<br />

The program is not designed to care for children<br />

with ongoing medical needs, behavioral problems<br />

or substance abuse issues.<br />

**AGENCY DOES NOT TAKE EX-OFFENDERS.<br />

Pre-school child care is <strong>of</strong>fered to children 0-5, at<br />

standard state fees; however, only handles 4-5<br />

children at a time.<br />

In addition, they also <strong>of</strong>fer a short term<br />

benevolence program providing food and clothing.<br />

Open Monday-Friday, 6 AM-6 PM.<br />

Language Services: English and Spanish.<br />

*Ex-<strong>of</strong>fenders welcome.<br />

This program, held at Highland Elementary<br />

School, is available for elementary school-aged<br />

children to work on school homework, various<br />

arts and crafts activities, and physical activities.<br />

A parent permission slip is required for children in<br />

grades 1-5.<br />

Hours <strong>of</strong> the program are 2:15 PM-5:30 PM, and<br />

a snack is provided.<br />

Registration for this program is held at the<br />

Meerscheidt Center.<br />

Language Services: English and Spanish.<br />
