The program <strong>of</strong>fers Core services, Intensive<br />

services, and Training services regarding<br />

employment.<br />

Individuals applying for intensive and training<br />

services must meet all <strong>of</strong> the following<br />

requirements for program participation:<br />

< Must be 18 years or older.<br />

< Must be living <strong>of</strong>f the reservation and<br />

residing in the urban and surrounding<br />

areas <strong>of</strong> Albuquerque, Gallup, and<br />

Farmington.<br />

< Must provide pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> Native American<br />

Ancestry.<br />

< Must be unemployed, underemployed, or<br />

economially disadvantaged (low income).<br />

*Ex-<strong>of</strong>fenders welcome, not limited to<br />

Native-Americans only, anyone can apply.<br />

Employment and labor information for the Four<br />

Corners area.<br />

Employment Services: matches qualified job<br />

applicant with employer’s work requirements.<br />

Provides information concerning job search skills<br />

and strategies.<br />

Unemployment Insurance: provides payments to<br />

workers who are temporarily unemployed through<br />

no fault <strong>of</strong> their own.<br />

Trade Adjustment/Trade Readjustment Programs:<br />

special programs available to eligible workers who<br />

lose their jobs or whose hours <strong>of</strong> work and wages<br />

are reduced as a result <strong>of</strong> trade imports from<br />

other countries.<br />

Veterans’ Services: ensures that job training and<br />

placement services are <strong>of</strong>fered to veterans on a<br />

priority basis.<br />

Employment Testing: provides aptitude, literacy,<br />

and pr<strong>of</strong>iciency testing by appointment.<br />

America’s Job Bank: provides computerized<br />

interstate job vacancy information to employers<br />

and job applicants.<br />
