The program offers Core services, Intensive
services, and Training services regarding
employment.
Individuals applying for intensive and training
services must meet all of the following
requirements for program participation:
< Must be 18 years or older.
< Must be living off the reservation and
residing in the urban and surrounding
areas of Albuquerque, Gallup, and
Farmington.
< Must provide proof of Native American
Ancestry.
< Must be unemployed, underemployed, or
economially disadvantaged (low income).
*Ex-offenders welcome, not limited to
Native-Americans only, anyone can apply.
Employment and labor information for the Four
Corners area.
Employment Services: matches qualified job
applicant with employer’s work requirements.
Provides information concerning job search skills
and strategies.
Unemployment Insurance: provides payments to
workers who are temporarily unemployed through
no fault of their own.
Trade Adjustment/Trade Readjustment Programs:
special programs available to eligible workers who
lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages
are reduced as a result of trade imports from
other countries.
Veterans’ Services: ensures that job training and
placement services are offered to veterans on a
priority basis.
Employment Testing: provides aptitude, literacy,
and proficiency testing by appointment.
America’s Job Bank: provides computerized
interstate job vacancy information to employers
and job applicants.
