Various investments are underway to enhance national nutritional security through<br />
awareness building and provision of micronutrient supplements to mo<strong>the</strong>rs and<br />
children. The National Nutrition Services under <strong>the</strong> MoHFW is <strong>the</strong> major<br />
investment programme, pooling resources from various DPs and from <strong>the</strong> GOB.<br />
The Protecting and Promoting Food Security and Nutrition for Families and<br />
Children in <strong>Bangladesh</strong> (MDG -F), implemented by various GOB Agencies under<br />
different ministries (MoA, MoHFW), involving WFP , FAO and UNICEF and a<br />
number of NGOs represents <strong>the</strong> effort for a coordinated investment in nutrition in<br />
<strong>the</strong> country.<br />
