The Food Directorate is <strong>the</strong> main implementing agency for Programme 8. Its major<br />

investments include construction and rehabilitation of go downs to enhance <strong>the</strong><br />

storage capacity of food grains in <strong>the</strong> country. In addition, a study is underway to<br />

determine <strong>Bangladesh</strong>’s modernized food storage requirement.<br />
