Major investments are underway for development of small aquaculture through<br />
assessing <strong>the</strong> impact of aquaculture drugs and chemicals on aquatic ecology,<br />
restoration of natural breeding habitats in <strong>the</strong> river system, infrastructure<br />
development and Expansion of Aquaculture Technology Services (EATS project,<br />
operated by DOF up to Union level). In addition, enhancement of improved<br />
extension services for management of fisheries services are also included under <strong>the</strong><br />
current investment operations. O<strong>the</strong>r significant investment projects are <strong>the</strong> Regional<br />
Fisheries and Livestock Development Project (RFLDP) and <strong>the</strong> Great Faridpur<br />
Fisheries Development Project. DOF is <strong>the</strong> most important implementing agency.<br />
