7.3 CIP expected outcomes/impacts reflect <strong>the</strong> intended improvements of people’s wellbeing.<br />

Expected outputs are <strong>the</strong> medium-term development results that interventions seek to<br />

support. Aggregate outputs of <strong>the</strong> 12 programmes are drawn from sub-outputs from priority<br />

investment areas.<br />

7.4 At <strong>the</strong> higher level, each of <strong>the</strong> 3 components is associated with one expected<br />

Outcome/Impact Statement, and a set of measurable indicators. For each of <strong>the</strong>m: (i) a<br />

baseline figure was extracted from <strong>the</strong> 2010 PoA monitoring report; (ii) a target to be achieved<br />

within <strong>the</strong> timeframe of <strong>the</strong> CIP was agreed upon through consultations and consistent with <strong>the</strong><br />

National MDG and <strong>the</strong> National Food Policy (NFP) <strong>Plan</strong> of Action (PoA), and means of<br />

verification were established. This framework is summarized in <strong>the</strong> following chart. The provided<br />

baseline information represents <strong>the</strong> key reference against which to measure progress towards <strong>the</strong><br />

agreed upon targets.<br />
