BCO110 - Mechanical door block prevents accidental closure of a
cabinet door. As you can see in figure 138.2, the door is kept open
and blocked at 90° or 120°, according to the position where it is

The gas springs prevent accidental closure of panels and doors (which are
opened upwards), etc. They also assist the operator, thanks to the compressed
gas contained in the springs, in lifting the panels and doors, or
prevent the doors from opening or closing too quickly.
For doors opened downwards (tip over drawers), the braking gas springs
are useful, which prevent a violent action in opening the door, which could
cause wear and tear on the support hinges over a period of time.
