UTZ, KIT TO JOIN CABINETS IN BATTERIES AZ series cabinets may be joined together at the sides, with the positioning of a rectangular frame between them, as shown in Fig. 67.1 A gasket is mounted on both sides of the pre-bored frame, which is then positioned on one of the cabinets and attached with screws. The UTZ code includes not only the frame, but also the bored junction plates, the gasket and the screws necessary for attachment and assembly of the plates. The plates inside the vertical struts are used only and exclusively to avoid rotation of the strut once the tubular frame screws have been tightened. They therefore have no function of mechanical reinforcement of the cabinet itself. SLZ, SIDE PANELS The side panels for AZ cabinets are built of 1.5 mm thick press-bent sheet metal and are fixed to the sides of the AZ frames with six or eight circular convex Phillips head M6 screws. In the internal part, around the perimeter, there is D a gasket that adapts to the side border of the frame, to guarantee <strong>IP</strong> <strong>55</strong> airtightness. The standard panels are blind, nevertheless, it is possible to order them customised with borings according to specifications, paying attention to ensure that the bores do not interfere with the frame (see positions E and F, Page 58).
