SMI - MODULAR INTERFACE SYSTEMS<br />

The interface for the front panel is used to access controls in the<br />

event of maintenance, without having to open the door of the<br />

electric cabinet.<br />

The wiring used for installation is placed inside the cabinet and<br />

the programming system or diagnostics device can be connected<br />

from the outside.<br />

The frames for insertion of the modules are in the simple and<br />

double version, in opaque nickel-plated metal, with a transparent<br />

cover.<br />

The class of insulation is <strong>IP</strong>65.<br />

The inserts (see fig. 187.2) include all the international sockets<br />

and a wide range of connectors.<br />

In the table below, underneath the product code, the frame and<br />

type of element to be inserted is defined.<br />

The dimensions of the individual frames are 120 x 66 mm, with<br />

a depth ranging from 32 to 62 mm, according to the elements<br />

inserted.<br />

The double frame, which has the same construction characteristics,<br />

measures 120 x 131 mm (figs. 187.1 and 187.2).<br />

Other types of sockets and connectors are available on request.<br />
