SMI - MODULAR INTERFACE SYSTEMS
The interface for the front panel is used to access controls in the
event of maintenance, without having to open the door of the
electric cabinet.
The wiring used for installation is placed inside the cabinet and
the programming system or diagnostics device can be connected
from the outside.
The frames for insertion of the modules are in the simple and
double version, in opaque nickel-plated metal, with a transparent
cover.
The class of insulation is IP65.
The inserts (see fig. 187.2) include all the international sockets
and a wide range of connectors.
In the table below, underneath the product code, the frame and
type of element to be inserted is defined.
The dimensions of the individual frames are 120 x 66 mm, with
a depth ranging from 32 to 62 mm, according to the elements
inserted.
The double frame, which has the same construction characteristics,
measures 120 x 131 mm (figs. 187.1 and 187.2).
Other types of sockets and connectors are available on request.
