at the MMR as soon as the L2P data become available to the user community.
65 WP-ID2.5.1 Format L2P MMR_FR metadata record
65 WP2-238 A MMR_FR metadata record should be prepared for each L2P data file according to the specification provided in Appendix
CTR.0530
A6.2.
65 WP-ID2.5.2 Register L2P MMR_FR metadata record with MMR system
65 WP2-239 MMR_FR metadata records should be delivered to the MMR system as soon as possible after the L2P data set has been
CTR.0580
evaluated following the procedure described in Appendix A6.4.
65 WP2-240 RDAC should aim to register MMR_FR records within 60 minutes of L2P data production in order that users are informed
CTR.0580
in a timely manner.
65 WP2-241 It is recognised that, if the MMR_FR record is submitted by e-mail, delays in registration are beyond the control of the
CTR.0110
RDAC. At the 4 th GHRSST-PP Science Team workshop, it was proposed to enable MMR data records to be delivered to
the MMR via ftp push from the RDAC to circumvent this problem.
67 WP-ID3 The GHRSST-PP Matchup Data base (MDB) and derivation of Sensor Specific Error Statistics (SSES)
Description:
67 WP3-001 This WP describes the GHRSST-PP match up database system (MDB) and the MDB data records that should be
NASR
produced at each RDAC.
67 WP3-002 The GDS requires that error estimates are assigned to every satellite SST measurement during the derivation of L2P data
NASR
products. As an in situ observation is not available for every SST measurement, Sensor Specific Error Statistics (SSES)
are derived by a statistical analysis of MDB data records for a given sensor type and time period. SSES consist of a
statistical mean bias and standard deviation (sd.) error estimate that is correlated to the mean L2P Proximity_confidence
value for a given sensor. These values are then assigned to all L2P measurements that have the same
Proximity_confidence value.
