interference, degraded due to uncertainty in seawater emissivity at higher<br />
wind speeds, and/or are below a low SST threshold.<br />
12 Acceptable: <strong>Data</strong> that are far from land, rain, sea ice, RF interference and are<br />
within a favourable wind speed regime.<br />
13 Diurnal: <strong>Data</strong> are far from any rain or land flags but are within a low wind<br />
speed regime where a cool skin or warm layer may influence the observed<br />
SST.<br />
SR.CFD.0220/I The threshold values MPVC_wind1, MPVC_wind2 and MPVC_proximity<br />
are in a configuration file.<br />
3.2.5.2 Infrared case<br />
SR.CFD.0300/I If an indication of sun-glint is provided with an input SST pixel value, this<br />
should be used to set the SunGlint flag of the corresponding L2P confidence data record.<br />
SR.CFD.0310/I If an indication of sun-glint is not provided with an input pixel value, an<br />
appropriate method should be used to set the SunGlint flag of the L2P confidence data<br />
record that is based on the geometry of sun and satellite position and surface roughness<br />
(e.g., Gardashov and Barla, 2001)<br />
